How to use the conditional selection column in TimeTonic.

The conditional selection column feature allows you to bring back original values from another table. It will appear based on the choice made in the linked selection column.

It represents its original value where it is used at time T.

Now, let's look at the prerequisites before being able to add conditional selection columns.

First, I need a table that organizes the values into three levels, which will allow us to create the hierarchy on which we will link the conditional selection column.

This view illustrates the configuration of the conditional selection columns and how they will be well indexed and associated with the value choice made in the selection column.

In practice, here is the pre-configured table that will be used to generate the conditional selection columns.

Here, as seen in the diagram, I have three action elements to categorize and link to secondary and tertiary actions, to which, for greater visibility, I have associated a color code.

By creating my first column that will be the link to my selection column from another table, I will then link the elements that will be associated with my primary action.

For example, for the first action, I need to order three secondary actions. Here I have two secondary actions that correspond to two other tertiary actions to which they are linked.

I arrive in my project table. Here, I will create my selection column from another work table, which I link to the primary actions column. For better visibility and clarity, I will apply the color.

Next, I will create my conditional selection column, which will be added on the type of selection previously created, linked to the secondary actions. I will also apply the color code and finally, I will create the last column that will be selected on the action number 2, the one previously created, and this time, I want the column from the tertiary actions table. I apply my color code here.

Now I will insert my values to see if they are organized with the hierarchy that I wanted. So the first action, on action 2, I have as planned the two secondary actions that I can choose from, which will give me, depending on the choice of one or the other, a corresponding tertiary action.

In the case where I choose this action, the proposal for the tertiary action will be different. And I can thus practice the ranking of my actions.

Finally, integrating conditional selection columns in TimeTonic brings the precision required by the processes and adds clarity to your tables.
