We're at the beginning of September, and a few days ago our developers completed a major release bringing together a host of new features, optimisations and bug fixes for your favourite platform.

Find out below, what our product teams have been working on this summer to make TimeTonic even more beautiful and efficient.

Main new features

First of all, we focused on improving and optimising the visual and technical aspects of our external forms.

External Forms

Group your fields in external forms

As with the form view, you now have the option of grouping fields in your external forms.

To make using and reading your external forms easier and more intuitive, you can now group the fields that make them up.

You can choose to use accordion folds that unfold when clicked and display the fields corresponding to the group.

Accordion style

Or in the form of a multi-stage form, consisting of several pages that are displayed after the previous pages have been filled in and validated.

Add a label to fields

If you wish, you can now give a different name to your columns, which will be displayed on your external form (also in the form view). If you leave this option blank, the column name will be displayed.

Other optimisations

Finally, a number of visual corrections and optimisations have been made to the external forms to make them more user-friendly, as well as a focus on the responsive nature of these forms to ensure they adapt as well as possible to all your devices.

SmartText Fields

We have also focused on optimising and adding functionality to our SmarText fields.

Adding images to your SmartText fields

As your SmartText fields continue to evolve, you can now add images to your fields.

You can add images to your SmartText fields from any source by copying the image and pasting it into your field, or by simply importing it from your computer or mobile device (phone & tablet).

Also very useful when automating your emails to insert an email signature.

Save more easily

With a view to improving their use and enabling you to increase your efficiency and that of your teams, you now have the option of saving the data in your SmartText fields using the shortcut on your keyboard: Ctrl + S (or command + S on macOs).

Other optimisations

As with the external forms, a number of visual corrections and optimisations have been made.

Timeline and Calendar

Modification of the click to create a new event

To create a new event in your Calendars and Timelines, you'll now need to double-click with your mouse.

Following feedback from users and internal tests, we realised that creating an event using a single click was not optimal and could be irritating for users.

That's why, from now on, you'll need to double-click to create a new event - fewer errors and greater efficiency!

New data display option

With a view to always adapting to your needs, you can now choose a new option for displaying your data in Calendar and Timeline view and select the ‘office hours’ option. The data will therefore be displayed between 8am and 8pm.

New features

Hide columns with 0 elements in the Kanban view

In your workspaces with a Kanban view, you can now hide columns containing no elements.

To make your Kanbans more readable and avoid overloading your workspaces with data, we're giving you the option of hiding columns containing no elements.

This new feature is only an option, and you can, if you wish, continue to make these empty columns visible, as they can form an integral part of your processes and workflows.

Changing the way form views is displayed on a screen

In your workspaces, in the form view, when you have a large screen, the form is no longer limited in terms of width and can now be displayed over 90% of the size of your screen. More data is visible, and you don't have to scroll so long to see it all.

Hide invisible fields in filters

To avoid confusing users in workspaces, when fields are marked as invisible when using filters, they are no longer displayed.
